We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated advice professional to join our award-winning casework team to provide cover for our current casework manager while she is on maternity leave. We are looking for someone with the availability to start before June 2022 to allow at least a one-month hand over with the current post holder. The Casework Manager will work closely with our Director of Advice Services to oversee Z2K’s housing and welfare benefits advice and casework. The postholder will be responsible for line managing a team of experienced caseworkers and supporting them to deliver high quality services while holding a small caseload.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week – Flexible working requests will be considered
Salary: £35,745 – £38,890 per annum, pro rata
Contract Type: Maternity Cover – 12 month fixed-term contract
Location: Victoria, London (+ remote working as necessary)

Islington Law Centre is a firmly established and expanding social welfare organisation committed to providing the community with the highest possible quality legal advice and representation.  We are looking to recruit an experienced legal aid housing solicitor or caseworker to join and help us develop our housing team.

We are seeking practitioners with experience in the full range of housing work, to include defending possession proceedings, homelessness and disrepair.

The Law Centre holds LAA contracts in housing and welfare benefits, public law and immigration.

Islington Law Centre currently co-ordinates one of the LAA’s housing duty possession schemes running at Clerkenwell and Shoreditch County Court.

Salary: between £36,000 and £40,000 pa depending upon experience.
