We are a firm specialising in Housing and Property Law established for 12 years and currently have our Lexcel accreditation pending. We pride ourselves in our inclusive and diverse culture and our strong links with the local community.

We have two exciting opportunities for a housing solicitor up to 3 years PQE and a Paralegal; there is an immediate training contract available for the right paralegal candidate.

Experience with housing legal aid is essential. As the vacancies will include residential property matters some experience of property law is desirable but if limited or no experience in residential conveyancing, training will be given.

For the solicitor position we are looking for someone who is comfortable with county court litigation, high court judicial reviews and emergency injunctions. This vacancy benefits from some administrative support.

The successful candidates will be proactive in commencing and conducting Legal Help, Certificated cases, participating in the Barnet County Court Duty Scheme and conduct some private work as well as an ability to meet set targets.

Debt, Welfare benefits and Housing Caseworker

Lambeth Law Centre are seeking to appoint a caseworker with experience of debt, welfare benefits and housing. You will be working as part of our team of dedicated social welfare lawyers providing vitally needed advice and assistance to often marginalised and vulnerable clients.

The Law Centre’s work is largely funded by Legal Aid, local authority grant funding and the Money Advice Service through the Capitalise partnership. We also have some trust funding.

You must have in-depth knowledge, and at least one year’s experience of all aspects of Debt advice, as well as a good grasp of Welfare Benefits Law. Experience of Housing casework /litigation and of Legal Aid will be an advantage.
