Cambridge House is looking for motivated people who are willing to go the extra mile to create a

The successful candidate will:
▪ Deliver specialist housing law services for the Law Centre including advice and casework in
areas of possession, homelessness and disrepair.
▪ Be able to meet the Legal Aid Agency supervisor requirements for Housing law or to attain
this standard within 6 months of starting in the post.
▪ Be able to generate income for the Law Centre from housing cases to meet annual financial
targets and objectives.
▪ Be client focused with a results orientated approach and a commitment to our corporate
vision.

Housing Caseworker/Solicitor
Salary range NJC scale SP 28-37 £40,389 – £49,071
35 hours per week
Part time considered
We are seeking to recruit a housing caseworker/solicitor to join our housing team of
10 who are based in our offices in Southwark and Lewisham.
The successful applicant will have:
 At least 2 years’ recent experience of providing LAA Contract housing advice
and representation under the legal help and legal aid schemes in particular in
the areas of disrepair, possession and homelessness
 Ability to meet the Legal Aid Agency supervisor requirements for Housing law
or to attain this standard within 6 months of starting in the post
 Experience of working to legal deadlines/time limits and managing a sizable
and complex caseload
