The Housing Law Conference

30/11/2015

The Housing Law Practitioners Association annual conference is on 8 December at the Royal College of Surgeons, London. 9.30 am to 6.20 pm

‘Housing Rights and Righting Wrongs’

This is the housing law conference. Highlights include:

A panel discussion on ‘homelessness from all angles’, with Matt Downie of Crisis, Karen Buck MP for Westminster North, Joanna Kennedy of Zaccheus 2000 Trust, and Shu Shin Luh of Garden Court.

Seminar sessions on:

  • Tenant’s rights when facing possession claims
  • Leaseholders’ interests: Rights, obligations and remedies
  • Rights of access to social housing
  • Homeless law rebooted
  • Mental capacity and tenants’ rights

A closing address on challenges in 2016 by Jan Luba QC – probably his last address before taking up his appointment as a Circuit Judge.

Assorted NL people will be there, either speaking or attending. And we rather take the view that it is unmissable… See you there.
