The Short March for access to justice

Alongside such luminaries as the  Lord Chief Justice, The Master of the Rolls, The Presidents of The Law Society and ILEX and the Chairman of the Bar, a couple of the Nearly Legal team are taking part in the London Legal Walk on 21 May 2012.

This is a 10 kilometer (6.21 miles in old money) sponsored walk around legal London, with the money raised going to the London Legal Support Trust. The Trust works to support law centres and legal advice agencies  in London and the South East by providing them with grant funding alongside other forms of support.  In these difficult times, the support is needed more than ever.

We don't ask for much, or indeed for anything, for the work we do on Nearly Legal, but if anyone would like to show a little appreciation and support the important work of the Trust, they can donate to either of the NL walkers' teams here and here. As one of the walkers, I can say we would be very grateful for any support.

  1. Good luckk with this, it sounds fun. I would come along but it is not really practical when living in Norwich (with two hour train journeys either way not to mention the £100 + train fare …).

I have stuck a contribution into the kitty though. Not sure if it was allocated to any one team. Did I need to do something for this?
