We are looking to recruit a full-time Housing solicitor to undertake a wide range of casework including defending possession proceedings, counterclaims, homelessness appeals and public law actions
You will be a qualified solicitor and have a minimum of two years’ experience of casework and representation in housing law, public law or another area of social welfare law. You will have experience of working under a Legal Aid Contract. You must have an ability to manage a substantial caseload and achieve billing targets.
We offer excellent terms and conditions, flexible working and 35 days annual leave. Applicants who want to work part-time would be considered.
Salary: £31,000 to £37,920 (depending on number of years PQE)

Post: Senior Solicitor
Salary: £36,000 to £39,000 p.a. (FTE)
Hours: Full time or part time – 25 to 35 hours per week
Luton Law Centre is seeking a Senior Solicitor to provide overall direction to and supervision of their legal work and to conduct casework in either housing, community care or immigration law.
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic solicitor to join the Law Centre team. We are looking for an individual who is fired by their ambition to assist people in need, and who shares the our values. The successful applicant must be willing to work hard, be imaginative, flexible, willing to extend their current skill set and, above all, want to make a difference.
We are seeking candidates who can offer 25 to 35 work hours per week. Applicants will have a minimum of three years’ experience as a practising solicitor and, preferably at least 2 years’ experience as an LAA Contract Category Supervisor.
The salary offered for this post is £36,000 to £39,000 p.a. depending on experience.
