MHCLG has published the Statutory Code of Guidance for the implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, with just over a month to go until it is in force (3 April 2018). 25 chapters and one annex are here (with no downloadable version in evidence yet). Everyone, councils and advisors, needs to brush up on it now!
But it is not yet complete. Annex 2 – the LGA dispute mechanism – is still under consultation till 13 March 2018…
And also, there are new Homelessness Review Regulations, also in force 3 April 2018. The Homelessness (Review Procedure etc.) Regulations 2018 notably turn old Reg 8 – notification of ‘minded to’ decisions – into new Reg 7.
