Astoundingly, the blog is now 8 years old. Apart from being generally glad that I’m still going, and that the blog is too, I’m genuinely not sure what I think about that. Put as bluntly as that, it seems like a long time.
Still, here we are, some 1779 posts, 2,692 comments and 1,973,107 views later.
I have no idea how many words have been typed. I suspect the answer is somewhere in between ‘a long 19th Century novel, possibly a Russian one‘ and ‘a large part of your life right there‘.
(*Any relation to Ireland’s lachrymose triumph in the Eurovision song contest in 1980 is purely accidental. Though it might feel rather more like this version.)
