Housing Supervisor (Solicitor or Caseworker)
£30000 – £33000
We are looking for a candidate to lead ATLEU’s Housing and Community Care work. The role involves providing legal advice and representation to victims of modern slavery and other vulnerable clients under a Legal Aid contract and presents a genuine opportunity to shape the future direction of this area of work.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience of housing law casework, including litigation, and should be able to fulfil 2018 Legal Aid Agency Standard Civil Contract criteria to be a Legal Aid Agency Housing Supervisor on commencement of post.
Experience of working with victims of modern slavery and young people is desirable but not essential.
Head of Legal Practice and Solicitor
£33000 – £36000
This newly-created role of Head of Legal Practice will be a key member of the organisation providing leadership to the Legal Team and working closely with the Director to ensure that ATLEU maintains a high profile, high quality and expert holistic legal service to victims of slavery.
The Head of Legal Practice will maintain an active caseload within one of ATLEU’s areas of legal practice: Housing / Immigration / Public law / Claims against Public Authorities / Employment and Civil litigation (Compensation).
They will be responsible for managing casework staff, the Legal Aid contract and overseeing the quality and compliance of ATLEU’s legal work.
Mary Ward Legal Centre are looking for two Access to Services Advisers to provide a specialist telephone and face-to-face triage service to Legal Centre clients and Adult Education Centre students and provide other administrative support to the both Centres of the Mary Ward Settlement. Good communication, organisational and team working skills essential. One post is full-time (35 hours per week) and one is part-time (21 hours per week).
Full-time equivalent salary:
£20,265 – £22,632 (pro-rata for 21 hours)
