We have four offices in London and hold Housing, Family and Immigration/Asylum contracts with the LAA.

We require an experienced Housing Solicitor/ Caseworker to join the firm’s busy Housing Department. You will need to have proven experience of having conducted legal aid cases and dealt with all aspects of housing law including section 202 and 204 matters, disrepair, evictions, JR procedures as well as having dealt with non legal aid housing matters.

Hopkin Murray Beskine are looking for two paralegals to assist in our busy housing, public law and family teams. The appointments will be for a fixed term of one year, with a view to a training contract commencing after a year if performance meets expectations.

We are a long established North London firm with clients from across London, who come to us because of our expertise in family, housing and public law. We continue to run a thriving legal aid practice in all our areas of work.

We are looking for candidates with an interest in and enthusiasm for public law and housing work. We provide a collaborative workplace where you will be well supported and supervised by experienced lawyers and have the opportunity to work on a variety of different cases: from high profile strategic litigation to complicated land law disputes; from assisting with the County Court duty possession scheme to prosecuting landlords in the Magistrates Court.

We are also looking for candidates with an interest in and enthusiasm for family law work. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different cases: from international child abduction in the High Court to domestic violence injunctions; from Children Act cases involving contact and residence to privately funded financial remedy proceedings.

You will be expected to work hard, be flexible, produce excellent written work and establish relationships with a range of clients, from privately paying clients to vulnerable homeless people. We expect applicants to have completed, or commenced, the Legal Practice Course. Previous relevant experience is desirable but not essential.
