Housing Law Solicitor (full time)

Tower Hamlets Law Centre is seeking to appoint a full time Housing Law Solicitor. The post is for an initial 6 months with a view to it becoming permanent subject to funding.

We have a Legal Aid Agency Contract that covers legal help and certificated cases and representation at court as part of the duty solicitor scheme. The post holder will cover an existing case load and must have three years experience of advising and assisting in all areas of housing law as stated above (not all of this experience need be post qualification).

Housing Solicitor

Salary: £28,770 per annum

Working hours: 35 per week

We have a 36 year history of providing an excellent service to the local community.
We have Housing and Immigration/Asylum contracts with the LAA and grant funding to cover out of scope work.

We require a solicitor for our Housing team. Some experience of Housing law/ Social Welfare law is essential.

The successful candidate will conduct the housing and debt matter starts we have been allocated, be proactive in commencing and conducting certificated cases for clients and will participate in the court duty scheme, again looking to maximise certificated work from those cases.
