Blush.

Sorry if I caught you out with the moderation queue there. I don't do the blog from work, so sadly comments have to wait till I get home.

I'll miss Corporate 1.0. I, for one, thought you were doing a great job. I look forward to the beta of 2.0, though.

Thanks very much for your post, and your kind words.

With a bit of prompting from the wife, I realised I should spend more time roller-blading, laughing in bars and reading comics than thinking about corporate law in my "free" (and far between) time.

However, if this new direction enables the development of a style of prose and depth of cultural resource that is as (nearly) good as regularly appears in your blog, Nearly, I will be very pleased. Perhaps then, the new direction shall be a Bildungsroman after all.

Best regards,
CBUK

Thank you for your kind comments.

This year my posts have been sporadic as I've tried to reconcile the hours of free and far-between time writing about corporate law when I should be roller-blading, laughing in bars and reading comics.

There is a danger, as you writely have noticed in the genre, that this new direction could end up "a personal vehicle for whimsy, bile or vituperation". But, if I manage to develop a style of prose or depth of resource nearly as sophisticated as I regularly find in this blog (not meaning to sound sycophantic), it will be a valuable Bildungsroman of its own making.

Much respect,
CBUK
