Post: Housing Caseworker/Solicitor
Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 p.a (FTE)
Hours: Full time – 35 hours per week (job share welcome)

Luton Law Centre is seeking to recruit an experienced Housing Caseworker/Solicitor to join our small friendly team.

Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ recent experience of provide housing advice and representation in a legal or advice setting and ideally some knowledge of Community Care law.
Ideally the postholder will have Legal Aid Agency Supervisor status, but we are prepared to support the right candidate to achieve this status.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic caseworker/solicitor to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are fired by our ambition to assist people in need and who share our values. The successful applicant must be willing to work hard, be imaginative, flexible, willing to extend their current skill set and above all, want to make a difference.

The post-holder(s) will be responsible for delivering our Housing Legal Aid contract, participating in the rota for the Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme and for providing advice in response to telephone and email enquiries.

We are seeking candidates who can offer 35 hours per week. We are open to a job share and/or a certain degree of flexibility. All staff are set-up to be able to work partly from home.

The salary offered for this post is £25,000 – £32,000 (FTE) depending on experience and qualifications.
